EtherChannel Generator
Generate LACP/PAgP EtherChannel configurations
What is EtherChannel?
EtherChannel bundles multiple physical links into one logical Port‑Channel for more bandwidth and redundancy.
- All member ports must have matching speed, duplex, and VLAN/trunk settings.
- Traffic is load‑balanced across links using a hashing algorithm (e.g. by MAC or IP).
- If one link fails, the Port‑Channel stays up using remaining links.
Control Protocol Modes
| Mode | Protocol | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| active / passive | LACP (802.3ad) | Open standard, recommended. |
| desirable / auto | PAgP | Cisco proprietary. |
| on | None (static) | No negotiation; both sides must match exactly. |
